U.S. Court in Texas Allows FTC Action Alleging Anticompetitive “Roll-Up” Scheme

The Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) lawsuit alleging U.S. Anesthesia Partners, Inc. engaged in a multi-year “roll-up” scheme to consolidate and monopolize the hospital anesthesiology market in Texas is moving forward after a federal court on May 14 refused to dismiss the action.
