Women's Network—The Expansion of Telehealth and the Impact on Work/Life Balance

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly challenged the traditional in-person doctor’s appointment and increased the popularity of virtual visits for diagnosis and treatment. Telehealth enables a physician to conduct an appointment live through different types of electronic devices, on video chat or telephone.1 Patients also have the option to speak with their physicians through a secure messaging platform, and for physicians to monitor patients’ health remotely.2
