OIG Flags Nearly $8 Million in Improper Medicare Payments for Power Mobility Device Repairs

Medicare improperly paid an estimated $7.9 million to durable medical equipment suppliers for repairs of power mobility devices (PMDs) that didn’t meet program billing requirements from October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019, the Department of Health and Human Services reported June 1.
