DOJ Files Complaint Against Kaiser Alleging Medicare Advantage Fraud

The Kaiser Permanente consortium engaged in a coordinated scheme to unlawfully obtain additional Medicare Advantage payments by systematically adding diagnoses codes to patient medical records months, or even years, after in-person patient encounters, according to a complaint filed October 25 by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
