CMS Boosts Funding for Hospital Medical Residency Programs in Rural, Underserved Communities

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced an estimated $1.8 billion in funding over ten years for additional medical residency slots at qualifying hospitals under a recently issued final rule (86 Fed. Reg. 73416).
