Georgia Hospitals Settles ADA Allegations

Adventist Health System Georgia Inc., d.b.a. AdventHealth-Gordon (Advent), a hospital in Calhoun, GA reached an agreement under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with the Department of Justice (DOJ) that requires the hospital, among other things, to pay $50,000 to the harmed patient and $10,000 to the patient’s companion, DOJ announced January 4.
