CMS Finalizes Rule to Eliminate Lag Between FDA Approval of Breakthrough Devices and Medicare Coverage

Breakthrough medical devices will be covered by Medicare on the same day they receive Food and Drug Administration (FDA) market authorization under a final rule the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published January 14 (85 Fed. Reg. ).
