David J. Greenburg Founders Award Recipients

Congratulations to the recipient of the 2025 David J. Greenburg Founders Award:

Kristen Rosati, Partner, Coppersmith Brockelman PLC, Phoenix, AZ

Kristen received her B.A., with high honors, and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan. She clerked for the late Judge Thomas Tang of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for Judge Earl H. Carroll of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. She became an AHLA member in 1998, subsequently serving as a speaker, author, mentor, and leader. Kristen is considered one of the nation’s leading “Big Data” and HIPAA compliance attorneys. She has deep experience in data governance and strategy, data sharing for research and innovation, data breaches, state consumer data privacy, biobanking and genomic privacy, and clinical research compliance. Kristen is a sought-after national speaker on these issues and has been active in national health care policy.

Rosati's dedication to AHLA has been demonstrated through her service as a Past President and her ongoing status as an AHLA Fellow. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping the Association's educational initiatives, having served on numerous planning committees, including the AHLA Artificial Intelligence Convener Session, Precision Medicine Institute, Academic Medical Centers and Teaching Hospitals Institute, health information technology conferences, and the Annual Meeting.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, colleagues consistently cite Rosati's mentorship and collaborative spirit as transformative influences in their careers. Her commitment to developing the next generation of health law professionals reflects the values that the Greenburg Founders Award celebrates.
