  • November 13, 2020

The AP (11/12, Alonso-Zaldivar) reports HHS Secretary Alex Azar announced “an agreement with pharmacies across the U.S. to distribute free coronavirus vaccines after they are approved and become available to the public.” The agreement “covers about 3 in 5 pharmacies in all 50 states” and aims to make obtaining a coronavirus vaccine akin to obtaining a flu vaccine.
Reuters (11/12, Roy) reports the companies that have agreed to participate in the arrangement include: Costco, CVS, Kroger, Walgreens, and Walmart. Under the agreement, “the vaccines will be administered at partners’ pharmacy locations at no cost to patients.”
