CMS To Reduce Base Medicare Reimbursement Rates For COVID-19 Tests Conducted By Laboratories Using High Throughput Technology

The RevCycle Intelligence (10/19, LaPointe) reports, “CMS will reduce the base Medicare reimbursement rate for COVID-19 tests done by laboratories using high throughput technology.” The agency announced that the rate will decreased from $100 to $75 beginning January 1.
