Scripps Research Institute to Pay $10 Million for Alleged Improper Federal Grant Charges

The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) will pay the federal government $10 million to resolve allegations it violated the False Claims Act (FCA) by improperly charging National Institute of Health (NIH)-funded research grants for time researchers spent on non-grant related activities, the Department of Justice announced September 11.
