Drug Maker’s Proposal to Provide Free Samples of Antipsychotic Drug Would Not Trigger Sanctions, OIG Says

The Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) would not impose sanctions on a drug manufacturer that proposes to provide up to a specified number of trial units of a long-acting antipsychotic drug to certain hospitals for inpatient use, the agency said in an advisory opinion posted December 28, 2022.
