Generic Drug Companies to Pay $447 Million to Resolve FCA Allegations over Price-Fixing

Taro Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc., Sandoz Inc., and Apotex Corporation agreed to pay a total of $447.2 million to resolve allegations they violated the False Claims Act by conspiring to fix prices of various generic drugs, which resulted in higher prices for federal health care programs, the Department of Justice Department announced October 1.
