OIG Approves Pharmaceutical Company’s Provision of Free Genetic Testing and Counseling Services to Patients Meeting Certain Criteria

A biopharmaceutical company’s proposal to provide free genetic testing and genetic counseling services to individuals who meet specified clinical criteria would implicated the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) and the Beneficiary Inducements CMP, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) said April 11 that it would not impose administrative sanctions.
