OIG Greenlights Medicare Cost-Sharing Subsidies for Clinical Study Participants

A professional association of radiologists and a charity that facilitates Alzheimer’s-related research may subsidize certain Medicare cost-sharing obligations in the context of a clinical study without risking administrative sanctions, according to a Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) advisory opinion issued October 4.
