Feds Join Whistleblower Actions Against Kaiser Permanente Alleging Medicare Advantage Fraud

The federal government has intervened in six whistleblower actions under the False Claims Act alleging the Kaiser Permanente consortium submitted inaccurate diagnosis codes for its Medicare Advantage (MA) plan enrollees to boost its reimbursements from the program, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced July 30.
