ONC Awards $73 Million for Public Health IT Workforce Program

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) is investing $73 million in its Public Health Informatics & Technology Workforce Development Program (PHIT Workforce Program) to train more than 4,000 individuals over four years, HHS announced September 22.
