OCR Announces Settlement with Dignity Health in Ongoing HIPAA Right of Access Probe

The Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced October 7 its eighth settlement in its ongoing investigation of allegations of health care providers failing to provide patients with timely access to their medical records in violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule.
