D.C. Circuit Won’t Reconsider Decision Denying Medicare Bad Debt Reimbursement to LTCHs

The D.C. Circuit refused October 15 to reconsider a panel ruling rejecting four long term care hospitals’ (LTCHs’) bid to recover more than $3 million in Medicare bad debt reimbursement for unpaid coinsurance and deductibles owed by patients who were dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.
