J&J Reaches $263 Million Settlement with New York of Opioid-Related Claims

Health care giant Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and its Janssen Pharmaceutical unit announced June 26 a $263 million settlement agreement with New York state and two of its counties to resolve their opioid-related claims. The settlement came shortly before a trial in New York state court began on June 28 against J&J and other drug manufacturers, distributors, and pharmacy chains.
