U.S. Court in Washington Says Insurer Must Face ACA Section 1557 Suit Over Transgender Treatment Exclusion

An insurer will have to face claims in court that it violated Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) by categorically excluding claims for treatment of gender dysphoria, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington held May 4.
