Supreme Court Won’t Rehear Case Seeking Emotional Distress Damages Under Federal Anti-Discrimination Law

The U.S. Supreme Court declined June 21 a deaf patient’s request to reconsider its recent ruling that emotional distress damages are not recoverable under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (RA) or Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
