Major Insurance Coverage Losses Averted During Pandemic, HHS Reports

Gains in Medicaid and health insurance from the federal Affordable Care Act marketplace helped to prevent major insurance coverage losses in 2020-2021 despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to an October 29 report from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE).
