OIG Semiannual Report IDs Nearly $3 Billion in Expected Recoveries

Taxpayers could recoup nearly $3 billion in misspent Medicare, Medicaid, and other health and human services funds as a result of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General’ (OIG’s) efforts, the agency said in its Spring 2022 Semiannual Report to Congress.
