U.S. Court in D.C. Sides with Urban Hospitals in Medicare Reimbursement Wage Index Dispute

The Department of Health and Human Services Secretary erred in calculating separately the rural wage index and rural floor for fiscal year (FY) 2020, which resulted in plaintiff urban hospitals being reimbursed at lower rates than rural hospitals in their respective states, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia held April 8.
