Medicare Payments to Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities to Increase by $80 Million in FY 2022

Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities (IPFs) will see a 2.1%, or $80 million, payment increase from Medicare in fiscal year (FY) 2022 under a final update to the IPF prospective payment system that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued July 29.
