CMS Finalizes Medicare Payment Boost to Hospitals in FY 2023

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued August 1 a final rule that will increase Medicare payments to hospitals under the inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) by roughly $2.6 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2023, according to a fact sheet.
