Transportation Broker Agrees to Pay $300,000 to Settle Medicaid Fraud Allegations

The Montachusett Regional Transportation Authority (MART), a transportation broker for the Massachusetts Medicaid program, has agreed to pay $300,000 to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by submitting reimbursement claims for rides that didn’t occur, U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts Andrew E. Lelling announced July 21.
