House Panel Clears Measure to Establish Independent Federal Research Agency

The House Energy and Commerce Committee cleared May 18 a bipartisan measure (H.R. 5585) to establish the Advanced Research Project Agency-Health (ARPA-H) as an independent agency within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
