CMS Failed to Collect Millions in Identified Medicare Overpayments, OIG Says

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) failed to collect $226 million of Medicare overpayments that were identified in audit reports over a roughly two-year period, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) said in a report posted July 28.
