To facilitate Medicare coverage for certain devices designated as “breakthrough devices” by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a proposed Transitional Coverage for Emerging Technologies (TCET) pathway on June 27, 2023.
