HHS Puts Drug Rebate Final Rule on Hold

The Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector (OIG) is delaying certain provisions of a controversial final rule that removes safe harbor protection under the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) for rebates that drug manufacturers pay to pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and health plans.
