Nursing Facilities May Seek Waiver of Training Requirements for Aides, CMS Says

Nursing facilities can seek an individual waiver of nurse aide training and certification requirements if they document barriers like a lack of capacity for a training program or exam that prevents workers from becoming certified, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) said in updated guidance issued August 29.
