Prime Healthcare Services, Two Physicians Agree to Pay $37.5 Million to Settle Kickback Allegations

Prime Healthcare Services system—one of the nation’s largest health care systems--Prime’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Prem Reddy, and interventional cardiologist Dr. Siva Arunasalam have agreed to pay $37.5 million to resolve violations of the False Claims Act based on kickbacks paid by Prime to Arunasalam for patient referrals, the Department of Justice announced July 19.
