OIG: Medicare Overpaid Almost $200 Million for Improper HHA Services

Twenty-five out of a sample 120 claims from home health agencies (HHAs) for home health services with five to seven visits in a payment episode did not comply with Medicare requirements, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) said in a July 23 report.
