FQHC Will Pay $25,000 to Resolve Alleged HIPAA Violations

Metropolitan Community Health Services (Metro), a Federally Qualified Health Center, agreed to pay $25,000 to resolve potential violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Rule following a breach affecting 1,262 patients, the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced July 23.
