HHS Proposes Changes to Federal Conscience Protections for Health Care Workers

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued December 29 a proposal that would rescind or modify certain provisions of a Trump-era final rule that provided broad protections for health care entities and individuals who refuse to provide or pay for medical services because of their religious or moral beliefs.
