FTC Seeks to Block New Jersey Health System Merger

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) moved December 3 to block Hackensack Meridian Health Inc.’s from acquiring Englewood Healthcare Foundation, contending the combination would harm competition in Bergen County, NJ and trigger higher prices and lower quality of care.
