Reimbursement Consultant for Diabetic Testing Supplier Settles FCA Allegations over Kickback Scheme

A reimbursement consultant for a now-defunct national supplier of mail order blood-glucose monitors and his wholly owned consulting and billing firm agreed to pay $50,000 to resolve allegations they participated in a kickback scheme that resulted in the submission of false claims to Medicare, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced February 14.
