BioReference Labs Will Pay $9.85 Million to Resolve Allegations of Paying Above-Market Rent to Induce Referrals

BioReference Health LLC and its parent company, OPKO Health, Inc. (OPKO), will pay $9.85 million to resolve allegations it paid above-market rent to referring physician landlords in violation of federal fraud and abuse laws, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced July 14.
