U.S. Court in DC Nixes Low Wage Index Hospital Policy in HHS Rule

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) exceeded its statutory in a 2019 rule that boosted the amount hospitals in certain low-wage geographic areas receive in Medicare reimbursements by reducing reimbursement for all hospitals, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia held.
