OIG Blesses Proposal to Subsidize Specialized Care for Military Veterans with Head Injuries

The Department of Health and Human Services Office for Inspector General (OIG) would not impose administrative sanctions in connection with a proposal to use bona fide charitable donations to pay all out-of-pocket costs and expenses for providing specialized outpatient care to U.S. military veterans with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), according to an advisory opinion released July 5.
