U.S. Court in Arizona Dismisses Out-of-Network Provider’s ERISA Action Against Cigna Healthcare

An out-of-network provider failed to state a claim for relief under the Employee Retirement Income and Security Act (ERISA) against Cigna Healthcare Inc. and related entities for allegedly improperly withholding $5.6 million in payments, a federal court in Arizona ruled July 23 in dismissing the action.
