CMS Proposes Retroactive Rulemaking to Account for Part C Days in Medicare DSH Calculation

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published August 6 a proposed rule (85 Fed. Reg. 47723) to retroactively include Part C (now known as Medicare Advantage (MA)) days in the Medicare fraction of the disproportionate share hospital (DSH) calculation for cost reporting periods starting before fiscal year (FY) 2014.
