CMS Proposes Scrapping Final Rule on Medicare Coverage of Breakthrough Devices

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published September 15 a proposal (86 Fed. Reg. 51326) to repeal a final rule allowing Medicare to cover breakthrough medical devices on the same day they receive Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval.
