Ohio AMC Reaches Settlement with OCR in Ongoing HIPAA Right of Access Probe

The Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced November 19 that the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, LLC (UCMC) will pay $65,000 to resolve potential violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule’s right of access standard.
