HHS Secretary Establishes New Federal Research Agency Within HHS, Names Acting Deputy Director

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra named Adam H. Russell, D.Phil, to serve as the Acting Deputy Director of the new Advanced Research Project for Health (ARPA-H). Becerra said ARPA-H would be established as an independent entity within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), according to an HHS press release.
