CMS Urges Hospitals to Implement Patient Safety Best Practices for Maternity Care

As part of the administration’s efforts to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity in the United States, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is encouraging hospitals to implement evidence-based patient safety practices for managing obstetric emergencies and interventions to address other key contributors to maternal health disparities.
