Physician Handed 20 Years in Prison for Improper Opioid Prescribing Resulting in Death

Physician Thomas K. Ballard III was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his unlawful prescribing of opioids that caused the death of one of his patients, the Department of Justice announced October 19.
