House Lawmakers Introduce Proposals to Curb Drug Pricing

House Democrats reintroduced April 22 a long-championed measure to reduce drug prices, including allowing the government to negotiate certain Medicare prescription drug prices, capping seniors’ out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs at $2,000 per year, and requiring drug manufacturers to pay a rebate back to the federal government if they increase prices faster than inflation.
